OUR APPROACH

We understand that every survivor’s journey is different, which is why our therapy is tailored to meet your specific needs. Here’s what you can expect:


  • Session Structure: Our sessions are designed to fit your life, typically lasting 60 minutes, with options for weekly or bi-weekly appointments.
  • Therapeutic Approaches: We use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy. These help you process difficult emotions, challenge harmful thought patterns, and rebuild a sense of safety and self-worth.
  • Group & Individual Options: You can choose to participate in group therapy, where you’ll connect with others in similar situations, or opt for one-on-one counselling for more tailored support.
  • Ongoing Support: Healing doesn’t stop when your session ends. We offer follow-up care, regular mental health check-ins, and access to additional resources to support your ongoing recovery.
  • Privacy and Confidentiality: Your safety and privacy are our highest priority. All sessions are confidential, led by experienced professionals who specialize in trauma recovery.

 Group therapy is like gathering around a campfire with a small group of people who've been through similar struggles. Led by someone experienced, we share our stories, listen, and support each other. It's about finding comfort and strength in knowing you're not alone, and together, we explore our emotions, learn coping strategies, and grow. 


In group therapy, you'll find a sense of belonging and understanding that's hard to find elsewhere. It's like having a team of allies cheering you on through life's challenges. Sharing your experiences helps you gain new perspectives and learn from others' journeys. Plus, you'll pick up valuable skills and feel empowered as you navigate your own path to healing. 


 Absolutely. Confidentiality is sacred in our group. What's shared in our circle stays in our circle. We create a safe space where everyone respects each other's privacy and boundaries. However, it's essential to remember that there are some exceptions, like if someone is in immediate danger. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. 


 Sharing is entirely up to you. We encourage everyone to share at their own pace and comfort level. Some people might open up right away, while others take time to feel comfortable. There's no pressure or judgment here. We're all on this journey together, supporting each other every step of the way. 


 It's completely normal to feel that way sometimes. Our group is a safe space to express yourself openly, and if you ever feel overwhelmed, we're here to help. Whether it's a comforting word or a supportive gesture, we've got your back. Our goal is to make sure everyone feels heard, understood, and respected. 


 Sessions usually last about an hour or so, giving us enough time to dive into meaningful conversations and share our experiences. As for how often we meet, it depends on the group and what works best for everyone. Some groups meet weekly, while others might meet bi-weekly or monthly. We'll find a schedule that fits everyone's needs. 


 While group therapy isn't a one-size-fits-all solution, it can be incredibly effective for many people. Being part of a supportive community can make a world of difference, especially when facing tough challenges. That being said, it's essential to find what works best for you. Whether it's group therapy, individual therapy, or a combination of both, what matters most is finding the support that helps you thrive.
